This comic was both stream-of-conscious as well as pre-meditated. Sounds contradictory, right? Allow me to explain.

At a meeting, I drew a weirdo like this staring from various angles. Yes, I was listening; I draw while I listen. In any case, it was just on a regular piece of paper so it wasn’t formatted for Oddballs. And, to be honest, I didn’t necessarily draw it for Oddballs, only to doodle. Yet, I liked it so I drew it on a piece of statement-sized bristol board (my paper of choice for Oddballs comics).

Interesting side note: I drew it while eating a burger in a restaurant in the lobby of a hotel in Louisville, KY while on a business trip. Hmm… maybe that wasn’t such an interesting side note after all.
