Oddballs: Headphones – Tell You What

What kinds of headphones do you prefer? I like the Apple AirPods. Yes, I realize there’s some questionable technology involved, but that’s for the pro version. I use the regular person version.

What I don’t understand are people who watch videos on their phones in public places without headphones; creating unnecessary audio pollution to the environment. They’re never watching anything interesting either, it’s always cars or cooking videos. I sound like a grumpy old man, don’t I?

I use what you call ‘old foamies’. And no, it’s not about missing my walkman, ’cause I never had one (though I admit to being old enough that I could have had). Thing is, I can’t take anything going inside the ear (hopefully I’ll never need a hearing aid), but I still want something that fits in a jacket pocket.

  Makes sense! It took me a while to get used to in-the-ear earphones. I sometimes revert to over-the-head-and-out-of-the-ear ones!
